Q: Do you offer a free Starter Session? What should I book first?
A: The Starter Session is not free. For the best value, we recommend purchasing a lesson package, because your first lesson is used as a Starter Session (new students) or a Checkpoint Session (transferring students). This first lesson helps your tutor confirm your level and goals and recommend the best program route. Example: You buy an 8-lesson package. Lesson 1 becomes your Starter Session, and lessons 2–8 follow the plan your tutor builds for you.
Q: Transferring from another tutor/program—what happens next?
A: Transferring students start with a Checkpoint Session (your first lesson in a package). Your tutor reviews your current level, what you’ve already studied, and what you need next—then adjusts your learning route so you don’t waste time repeating what you already know. Q: How do lesson packages work?
A: A package is a set number of lessons you can schedule flexibly. You book the package once, then schedule sessions around your availability. Packages are designed for consistency and better value than purchasing single lessons one at a time. Example: You purchase a 16-lesson package and schedule 2 lessons per week. If you travel, you schedule 1 lesson that week and increase the following week—your plan stays flexible.
Q: Can I combine different programs in one package?
A: Yes. Packages are designed to be flexible, so you can combine lesson focuses based on your goals (for example, fluency + writing support, or general English + business communication). Your Starter/Checkpoint lesson helps you choose the best mix. Example: In a 10-lesson package, you do 6 lessons for Business English meetings + 4 lessons for writing and email correction.
Q: Do you offer other languages or subjects?
A: At the moment, Akademia Academy offers English tutoring only. Additional languages and subjects may be added later as the academy expands. Example: If your goal is English for work or relocation, you can begin now; if you later need another subject, you’ll be able to check future offerings.
