Akademia Academy will be on summer holiday from June 7th to August 3rd. During this 9-week break, our school and teachers will have limited availability, and lessons will only be offered on Saturdays. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to continuing lessons with you throughout the summer schedule.
Tutoring Careers
Tutors at Akademia Academy deliver structured, supportive lessons with clear standards, consistent feedback, and measurable progress — across General English and premium programs.
Core Teaching Requirement
All tutors must be able to teach General English and at least one premium program:
Premium Programs (Tutoring Services)
- Business English
- Relocation English
- American English & Writing Support
- American English for Performers
- Exam Preparation
As we scale, most tutors will be expected to handle 2–3 teaching areas, with clearer specialization pathways and differentiated pay structures.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Teach General English plus at least one premium program
- Follow program frameworks and lesson quality standards
- Provide post-lesson feedback notes (required)
- Maintain professional classroom presence (camera on; recording requirements where applicable)
- Collaborate with scheduling and communication systems
TUTORING REQUIREMENTS
Must-have
- TEFL/TESOL (or equivalent) teaching certification
- Ability to teach General English + at least one premium program
- Minimum availability: 12 hours/week
- Stable internet + professional audio/video
- Commitment to feedback notes + professionalism standards
Experience expectations (role-dependent)
- General English Tutor: entry-level accepted (experience helps)
- Business English / American English for Performers: typically 4–5+ years (as specified in the posting)
Nice-to-have
- Strong writing feedback ability (Writing Support / Exam Prep)
- Evidence of structured lesson planning and progress tracking
- Minimum availability: 12 hours/week
- Bachelor's in English or relevant area of study

Sessions may be delivered through approved video platforms depending on program requirements, tutor access, and reliability standards.

As Akademia Academy expands, the platform ecosystem may evolve to maintain quality, streamline operations, and support new program formats. Tutors are expected to adapt to approved platform updates as part of maintaining a consistent premium experience.
First 90 Days: Onboarding + Quality Check-ins
During the first three months, new tutors complete structured onboarding and receive periodic quality check-ins. The goal is to ensure support, consistent standards, and high-quality delivery across General English and your selected premium program(s).
- Orientation to lesson standards and feedback expectations
- Program framework alignment (General + premium program)
- Sample lesson structure guidance (where applicable)
- Communication norms (professionalism, reliability, student experience)
- Practical support for platform setup and classroom delivery expectations
